Hook is a 1,665 acre primarily undeveloped barrier beach penninsula. It
features a 7 mile stretch of breathtaking ocean and bay beaches, a spectacular
holly forest, excellent surf fishing, dune trails, and over 300 species
of migratory shorebirds. Magnificent sunrises and sunsets! You can find
popular beaches with excellent facilities or peaceful secluded areas.
Sandy Hook is also the home of gay popular and clothing optional Gunnison
Beach. Ranger guided nature tours available. Summer Beach Concert Series.
